Information

Knitwear production is still stuck in the last century. Broken supply chaines, the need to decarbonize the industry, a shift in customer demands and retail models open a window of opportunity for change. ito ito has developed a cloud based automation software which allows fashion brands to share ressources and digitize their knitwear production: from pixel to product.

We have created a digital ecosystem to connect design, sales, consumers and retail. We make knitwear production more agile, easier to scale (up or down) with faster production of small orders and zero waste.

DIGITAL FASHION – The Phygital NetworkDigital FashionDIGITAL FASHION – THE PHYGITAL NETWORK is a new platform at this year's DMEXCO (September 20/21) that addresses both the rapidly growing market for purely digital clothing and the booming market for digital solutions for the development, manufacture and sale of physical clothing offers a forum. According to McKinsey estimates, the digital fashion market could develop a potential of 2 trillion dollars in the next seven years. As an evaluation by Stanford University shows, Nike, for example, has already turned over 1.3 billion dollars with digital fashion, almost 200 million of which through the sale of NFTs alone. But even that is just the tip of the iceberg, which can be seen from afar. Because these figures only refer to phenomena in which the fashionable end product is virtual. However, the market for digital solutions for developing and manufacturing physical clothing is much larger. The perception of the real is already being replaced by digital simulations along the entire value chain in order to reduce costs, save time and preserve physical resources. Where there were only isolated solutions a few years ago, today there is a continuous process chain from the virtual weaving of virtual fabrics with virtually spun yarns to the virtual photography of virtual clothing on virtual models. German Fashion Institute DMI and Koelnmesse have therefore jointly created the business event "DIGITAL FASHION - The Phygital Network", which will deal intensively with digitization in the fashion industry. The core target group of the new event are all professionals involved in the digital value chain of the fashion industry. The first edition of DIGITAL FASHION will take place at the Cologne exhibition center as part of DMEXCO 2023 on September 21 and offers a specialist conference, master classes and an expo in which selected best practice examples from the digital fashion industry will be shown. DMI is thus continuing its successful conference trade fair "Re'aD Summit", which the international fashion think tank has organized for professionals from the fashion and creative industries until 2022. Since September 2009, Koelnmesse has been organizing the DMEXCO – Digital Marketing Exposition & Conference – at the Cologne Exhibition Center every year, where exhibiting companies and partners present themselves both at their own stands and in an extensive conference program. With around 40,000 visitors and 560 partner companies, DMEXCO is Europe's leading digital marketing & tech event.
