How do I advise on sustainability? The topic continues to occupy the industry, as sustainability has become a key purchasing criterion for a growing proportion of consumers. According to a Statista Consumer Insights study from 2023, 21 per cent of respondents said they had stopped buying a particular food product due to sustainability aspects, while 14 per cent said the same for a specific food brand.
Sustainability should therefore occupy a prominent place in brand communication. How willing are brands to prioritise this and how do agencies support them in this area? After all, sustainability is far more than just a communications issue - it is a strategic decision that requires significant investment from companies.
