Why 30% of Online Store Searches Come Up Empty and How AI Is Changing That

Up to 30% of all online store searches yield no results not because the products are missing, but because traditional keyword search fails to understand user intent. This session shows how semantic AI search solves this problem: from intent recognition and automatic filter generation to GDPR-compliant operation in Germany.

The three key takeaways:

• Semantic search reduces zero-result searches by up to 82% and increases the click-through rate by 38%
• Auto-filters based on catalog data eliminate the need for manual synonym lists and reduce dependence on developers
• Data sovereignty and AI performance are not mutually exclusive, proprietary models hosted in Germany
