Video continues to be one of the biggest growth drivers in media consumption. In the last twelve months alone, video consumption has more than quadrupled.
On mobile platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, video has been in focus for several years - and the unbroken growth trend is reflected in the broad range of different video products. This ranges from short and vertical formats such as reels and stories to long-form content on Facebook Watch and IGTV.
Also content has diversified and comes from Creators, Publishers, Publishing Partnerships and Communities, who all put Video into their focus. Globally, more than 3 billion people use at least one of Facebook's platforms every month, and advertisers can already reach nearly 2 billion people with In-Stream-Video-Advertising.
